Goodbye Class of 2018– we will miss you!

The year ended in spectacular fashion with a prom at the Holiday Inn on Brighton seafront and a leavers’ barbeque at The Connected Hub.

The prom was a special event with our stylish students looking their glamourous best as they arrived to walk down the red carpet in a range of colourful prom dresses and sharp suits. It was a fun but emotional night as we celebrated the end of the exams and a year of hard work but also acknowledged our sadness as said good bye to our lovely students who we feel so proud of.

Awards were presented, we enjoyed a delicious buffet and the music and decorations added to an evening of tears, laughter, dancing and memories of the year.

The barbeque was equally memorable with delicious food and another opportunity for goodbyes and thankyous as students were given their ‘Hub mugs’ as a memento.

We know that many of our students have been accepted onto courses at local colleges including the MET, Plumpton and Varndean, whilst others have secured places on apprenticeships.

It has been a privilege to work with the 2017/ 2018 year group. We are proud of their achievements and wish them every success in the future. We will miss each and every one!

At this time of year we also say goodbye to some familiar faces on the staff. Emma our English teacher, who has been at The Hub since its inception, is taking up a post at Varndean School, Martin is starting his own business and Anujah is all set for a career change. We thank them for their hard work, dedication and commitment to The Hub and wish them well with their new ventures.

We are also welcoming five new members of staff so look out for news of them on the website in September.

As we finish for the year, we would like to wish all of our students and their families a safe, enjoyable and sunny summer.

Best wishes
