32 hrs per week, 46.2 Paid weeks per year

Salary: Scale 1-2  £16,863
Pro-rata £14,982

The Connected Hub is a small and nurturing alternative provision for Year 11 students from across the city who are at risk of becoming NEET.  Our aim is to enable young people to meet their learning and personal goals so they can engage in education, training and employment and reach their full potential. Fixed term contract until August 2018

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is committed to helping students remove barriers and re-engage with learning.  They will be required to support various subjects.  You should be prepared to work flexibly across the new Central Hub if required.

The successful applicant will have:

  • a minimum of A* – C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • a flexible and positive attitude
  • excellent communication skills and sense of humour
  • a commitment to the best possible outcomes for our students
  • relevant experience of working with disengaged/vulnerable young people at secondary age is preferable
